Brandon Plummer

Brandon can’t wait to join the team and help tell Russell Hoban’s epic adventure story and play some of the gorgeous folk music with Threaded.

Brandon trained on the Actor Musicianship course at Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance. He has a keen interest for music and loves playing with other people – Brandon plays the piano, guitar, bass and double bass. He has just finished filming an episode of Casualty (BBC1) which will be aired on Saturday 1st June.

Craig Painting

Alongside performing Craig also delivers drama workshops to young people & is a keen user of BSL, both professionally & socially.

Craig graduated from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, London in 2002. Recently he’s played Captain Hook for the Courtyard, Hereford.

Matilda Bott

Matilda is very excited to be working with Red Earth Theatre and Threaded on Soonchild and for the opportunity to bring such a wonderful story to life.

Matilda is a touring actor and musician, performing in both classical and new work all over the UK. She also currently works as a Drama Education Officer at The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust; educating young people about Shakespeare and his life through performance.

Threaded

Threaded is the ‘impressive talent’ (Folk Radio UK), of Jamie Rutherford (guitar/lead vocals), Ning- ning Li (violin/vocals) and Rosie Bott (clarinet/vocals).

Threaded are a Derby based acoustic trio that create and perform original instrumentals and self-penned songs, inspired by world folk culture and re-imagined for a contemporary audience.

Their first two albums, Fair Winds & Following Seas (2017) and ‘of what we spoke’ in (2015), were received with great critical acclaim.
