Jo Robinson is Professor in Drama and Performance in the School of English at the University of Nottingham. Her broad research interests in theatre and performance focus on the relationships between performance, place, community and region and she has led a number of collaborative research projects with local theatre partners including Nottingham Playhouse, New Perspectives Theatre Company and most recently the Theatre Royal Nottingham. She has been a member of the Red Earth board since 2013 and has recently led the AHRC/EPSRC-funded ‘Integrated Immersive Inclusiveness’ project with the company which enabled integrated captioning across the tour of Soonchild in 2019.
