Rosie is the clarinettist and backing singer with Threaded, and will be working with Red Earth on their show Soonchild!
Rosie is a freelance clarinettist, graduating with a first class degree from Birmingham Conservatoire, and gaining a PGCert from RWCMD.
Rosie has a very eclectic playing career. She is a founding member of acoustic trio Threaded, a creative ensemble with whom she gigs regularly and who have released two albums to critical acclaim. She also plays as part of woodwind duo Ara, has been a member of Bute Clarinet Quartet and Joe Broughton’s Conservatoire Folk Ensemble. She has played at venues such as The Royal Albert Hall, Symphony Hall and Southbank Centre, and at festivals such as Cropredy, Green Man and Wilderness, among many others. Her playing is featured on Fairport Convention’s 50:50 album track ‘Danny Jacks’. She also has featured in various pit orchestras, freelance orchestras and recitals around the midlands.
Rosie has a wealth of education and outreach experience, teaching woodwind and delivering workshops in a variety of settings, and she is the Music Coordinator for Air Arts at Royal Derby Hospital.
Rosie loves tea, cheese, giant chocolate buttons and Scandinavian Crime novels!
